Monique is a distinguished security professional with over 15 years of specialized experience spanning the United States Air Force (USAF) and the civilian defense sector. Throughout her tenure, she has mastered the complex regulatory requirements of Department of Defense (DoD) Special Access Programs (SAP), Intelligence Community (IC), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). As the founder and principal architect of Grounding Endeavors Group- Industrial Security (GEG-IS), she leverages this high-stakes administration background to ensure total operational readiness and mission success for both government and industry partners.
Monique’s expertise encompasses the full lifecycle of Facility Security Clearances (FCL) and Personnel Security Clearances (PCL), alongside the development of comprehensive security training and policy frameworks for highly classified environments. A committed leader in the industrial security community, she is an active member of NCMS (The Society of Industrial Security Professionals) and holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a focus on Spanish from the University of Utah.
By blending rigorous tactical experience with a mission-driven approach to leadership, Monique ensures that GEG-IS remains a trusted partner in driving secure, scalable organizational growth. Maegan currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Facility Security Officer (FSO) of Grounding Endeavors Group (GEG), where she directs the organization’s strategic growth and leads comprehensive industrial security operations. A seven-year veteran of the United States Air Force, Maegan holds dual certifications as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO). She leverages a diverse portfolio—spanning elite military security to executive-level operational oversight—to drive GEG’s scalability and federal compliance.
Maegan’s professional foundation was forged through distinguished service in the Air Force, characterized by an overseas deployment and the successful execution of over a dozen United States Secret Service support missions. As a Military Working Dog (MWD) handler and Security Forces member, she was entrusted with the protection of Protection Level 1 resources. Her technical background is further distinguished by advanced training in IED Awareness via the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI), as well as specialized certifications in K9 Night Operations and Tactical Apprehension through Tarheel K9.
In her executive capacity at GEG, Maegan has proven expertise in navigating complex federal mandates and evolving global threat landscapes. She provides elite oversight for GEG-Industrial Security (GEG-IS), specializing in Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) security reviews and the implementation of robust Insider Threat Program Management (ITPM) frameworks. Her proactive approach ensures that GEG-IS clients remain audit-ready, while her “servant-leader” philosophy ensures high standards of operational readiness and staff development as the company scales.

Shelly currently serves in an operational capacity at Grounding Endeavors Group (GEG), where she supports organizational performance, regulatory compliance, and mission-focused execution across multiple departments. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, building upon an Associate’s degree in Information Technology, and applies her technical foundation to strengthen operational efficiency and security-minded business practices.
Shelly’s professional foundation is forged through seven years of service in the United States Air Force Reserve, where she continues to oversee and develop Airmen in high-accountability environments. Her military experience is characterized by disciplined leadership, decisive performance under pressure, and a sustained commitment to compliance, accountability, and mission readiness. This ongoing service reinforces a command presence and operational mindset essential to both security and organizational leadership.
Building on that foundation, Shelly transitioned into senior operational roles managing multi-department organizations. She led logistics operations, safety programs, and workforce performance initiatives, developing a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, physical security protocols, and risk management. These experiences have provided a solid operational base as she continues expanding her knowledge in the industrial security sector, where protecting infrastructure and optimizing operations go hand in hand.
